From the Galley of Haricots Verts Expeditions[1] Expedition #7

 

Miss Walters Rum Punch

 

Ingredients

2 parts red tropical punch drink

1 part pineapple juice

1 part orange juice

2 parts rum

 

 

 

  1. Combine all ingredients.
  2. Pour over ice (in a glass).
  3. Grate fresh nutmeg over the top
  4. Garnish with orange slice and/or cherry.

 

I made this with a cheap tropical punch I bought at Walter’s Superette in Soper’s Hole.  You could use Hawaiian Punch, but that would be a high-end substitute.  Try something Mexican.  I still am looking.

Erma Hyman – “Miss Walter’s” – agreed with me that we did not need to buy a full box of salt and gave us plenty.  Nice lady.
